COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Lady Tigers competed in the 200-yard freestyle and and 400-yard medley relay on Thursday at NAIA National Championships in Columbus, Ga.
The third day of competition begins on Friday morning at 9 a.m. ET from the Columbus Aquatics Center with the finals at 5 p.m. ET.
In the first event of the day, the Lady Tigers placed 23rd in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of
Brooklynn Friel,
Chelsie VanWhy,
Jen Lewis and
Katy Lewis notched a time of 1:46.34 and missed moving on to the finals.
During the 400-yard medley relay,
Faith Hyde,
Jen Lewis, Friel and
Irune Capri placed 25th overall in the field with a time of 4:26.83.
Leading action after day two is Olivet Nazarene University with 191 points, followed by SCAD-Savannah with 188 points and University of the Cumberlands with 168 points.
Action on Friday features the 200-yard medley relay, 400-yard individual medley, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard backstroke.
Competition resumes on Friday morning at 9 a.m. ET with preliminary heats and the final heats are set to begin at 5 p.m. ET.
