Dunagan and Ratliff jump to 14th at Carhartt Bassmaster College Series Southern Tour

FLORENCE, Ala. — Bradley Dunagan and Nick Ratliff teamed up to catch a five-fish limit of 16 pounds even to jump up the leaderboard to 14thplace at the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series Southern Tour event presented by Bass Pro Shops at Pickwick Lake.

The top Campbellsville duo sat in 38thafter Day 1 with 15 pounds 12 ounces but stepped up today to secure a spot into the field for Day 3. They have a total of 31 pounds, 12 ounces entering Championship Saturday.

Coming into the tournament, only the Top 32 teams were scheduled to fish on Championship Saturday but with six teams double-qualifying for the National Championship in the Top 32, the qualification cut was bumped to 38th place.

Dakota Cantrell and Austin Moore caught two fish on Friday for a total of 8 pounds and four ounces to finish in 135thplace. After not catching a bite on Day 1, Tanner Barner and Ezra Oliver caught three for 9 pounds 11 ounces to finish in 144th, while Adam Carman and Grant Adams came up empty on Day 2 and slipped to 145th

Trevor Sagracy and Travis Hunt caught two fish on Day 2 after coming up empty on Day 1 and finished in 166th. Justin Mayfield and Colby Hays didn't get a bite on Day 2 and finished in 207th, while Dustin Jones and Dalton Smith didn't catch a bite either day.

Adrian College's Nick Marsh and Jarrod Layton landed five bass that weighed 20 pounds Friday and jumped to the top of the leaderboard with a two-day weight of 41 pounds, 3 ounces.

Bethel University's John Garrett and Brian Pahl, who led after Day 1, dropped to second after landing 18-4 on Friday.

West Virginia's Nolan Minor and Casey Lanier moved up from 22nd place to third after catching 21-2 — the field's biggest catch during Friday's round. They, too, had a mixture of largemouth and smallmouth that contributed to their 38-12 total. But they could be impacted by the falling water in their shallow areas.

Matthew Cross and Mekiah Jack of Middle Tennessee State University are in fourth with 36-6, and Tyler Craig and Spencer Lambert of the University of Louisiana at Monroe are fifth with 35-15.

Saturday's takeoff begins at 8 a.m. ET at McFarland Park in Florence, and the weigh-in will take place on the University of North Alabama's campus at 4:30 p.m. ET.
