MARION, Ky. —
Mason Sapp and
Tray Hardwick caught a five-fish limit of 16 pounds 3 ounces and finished in third place at the FLW Central Region this weekend at Lake Barkley.
With the third-place finish, Sapp and Hardwick qualify for the 2019 FLW National Championship.
The top CU dup was a little over four pounds under the leaders Clayton Trueblood and Nick Montilino of Murray State University as they won with 21 pounds 7 ounces to claim the $2,000 winnings.
Peyton Porter and Micah Chessor won $1,400 with a second-place finish at 18 pounds 7 ounces. The Tiger anglers brought home $500 that will be placed back into the operating budget for the bass fishing team.
Justin Mayfield and
Colby Hays were close behind and finished just out the Top 10 with 11 pounces 1 ounce.
