Harris finishes runner-up at World Team Trials in Rochester to earn National Team spot

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Campbellsville's Mariah Harris became the third Lady Tiger to ever punch her ticket to being on the Senior National Team after a recent third-place finish at the women's freestyle World Team Trials.

Harris, a 2017 WCWA All-American and WCWA Runner-Up, was one of two entrants at 76 kg, but lost the best of three series to Korinahe Bullock. The loss moved her to No. 3 in the country, with the Top 3-seeding earning her Senior National Team status.

Harris now joins Kayla Miracle and Koral Sugiyama as World Team members, while Miracle and Harris earned the spot this season.

The win for Bullock earns her a bid to Final X in State College to go toe-to-toe with three-time World champion and 2016 Olympian Adeline Gray.

Miracle is the lone Lady Tiger to represent CU at Final X, as she won the Marine Corps U.S. Open in Las Vegas earlier this spring.
