No. 9 Lindsey Wilson scores five goals in second half to run past Tigers, 6-1

COLUMBIA, Ky. — Lindsey Wilson scored five goals in the second half – three of them in the first 15 minutes of the period – and out-raced Campbellsville men's soccer on Friday night, 6-1. 
 
Having to move the match up two days due to weather, the Tigers and ninth-ranked Blue Raiders met at the soggy Walter S. Reuling Stadium to open Mid-South Conference play. With the loss, Campbellsville falls to 3-5 overall and 0-1 inside the MSC. The Blue Raiders improve to 7-1-1. 
 
The scoring started in the 29thminute as Lindsey Wilson's Neville Morgan netted the first score. To that point, LWC had six total shots with three on goal, while CU had two shots and one on frame. 
 
Right out of halftime, Lindsey Wilson put the game out of reach. A flurry of foals in a span of 12 minutes put the Blue Raiders ahead, 4-0. Ranier De Jesus scored in the 51stand was followed with the first of three goals by Andrew Revanales in the 52nd. In the 63rd, it was Revanales' second goal to cap the quick scoring threat. 
 
The scoring didn't stop for Revanales as he registered the hat trick in the 74th
 
The Tigers got on the board just four minutes later as Rafael Marube scored his first-career goal, but the momentum ended quickly. Karim Jouini scored one minute later in the 79thto put Lindsey Wilson ahead, 6-1. 
 
Overall, Owen Stott played all 90 minutes in goal and finished with three saves. 
 
Now the Tigers will have three days to prepare for Shawnee State University as the Bears travel to Tiger Town to open MSC play at Finley Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. ET.
