Game Recap: Women's Basketball | | Brett Tudela

Pass happy Lady Tigers dominate in 91-57 win over Life University

WALESKA, Ga. – Campbellsville women's basketball controlled every facet of the game as they rolled to a 91-57 victory over Life University Thursday night at Reinhardt's James and Sis Brown Athletic Center.

The Lady Tigers never trailed in the game and led for 38:22 of the 40-minute total of the game. CU made 32 shots from the field in the game with 26 of those baskets yielding an assist. As usual, point guard Caitlin Hall was the leading helper for the Lady Tigers with nine on the night.

It was a night to remember for Savannah Gregory as she posted her second double-double as a Lady Tiger with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Gregory got a majority of her rebounds in the first half with seven at the break and scored seven of her 12 in the second half.

Campbellsville's leading scorer was senior forward, Jordan Doram, who came off the bench to drop 17 on 6-of-10 shooting from the field. Doram was a force in the paint as the Lady Tigers were dominant as a team down low, outscoring the Running Eagles 50-32 from the pain in the game.

Two of the four Madisons to see the floor for CU reached double figures as Madison Kaiser and Madison Faulkner joined Gregory and Doram with a double-digit point total.

Kaiser's 12 all came in the first half as she was 2-for-3 from long distance in the half and 5-for-6 from the field. Faulkner balanced her point total between the first and second halves but scored all eight of her first half points from the field and scored all of her second half points from the free throw line.

CU lived at the free-throw line throughout the game, shooting 29 and making 22 in the whole game. At one point, the Lady Tigers had nine-straight possessions of going to the free-throw line in the second half.

The turnovers and steals were even for both teams with both Life and Campbellsville recording 24 turnovers and 13 steals. The Lady Tigers were better able to take advantage of the Running Eagles turnovers as CU scored 19 points off of turnovers compared to only 12 from LU.

The Lady Tigers will stay on the road for their Saturday matchup against the University of the Cumberlands Patriots at 2 p.m. ET in Williamsburg, Ky. at the O. Wayne Rollins Center.
