Lady Tiger basketball set to host University of Pikeville Bears on Thursday night

Campbellsville enters Thursday with a 70-8 record against Pikeville in history

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — To say Campbellsville has dominated the series against University of Pikeville would be an understatement. To say that trend will continue, could be a big risk. The Lady Tigers carry in a 70-8 record against the Bears in program history but Pikeville head coach Clifton Williams has turned this team around into a Top 35 team the last three years.

The two meet on Thursday night in the Powell Athletic Center at 6 p.m. ET for the start of a doubleheader with the men's programs – which are both in the Top 25.

Coverage begins on the CU Sports Network starting at 5:45.

Coach Williams' squad even knocked off the Lady Tigers for the first time in the Ginger High Colvin era in the 2015-16 season, 74-71. But Campbellsville is coming is as one of the best teams in the country once again and is doing it in every facet of the game. The Lady Tigers lead the NAIA in assists, assists per game, scoring per game and you can't forget about their defense ranking No. 2 in total steals with 331.
