Tigers fall in second straight overtime game

MARIETTA, Ga. – On Saturday evening, the Tigers visiting Life seeking to bounce back after an overtime loss on Wednesday.
 
Life, however, had other plans as they used two overtime periods before recording a golden goal in the 106th minute of the match.
 
After Campbellsville outshot life 6-3 in the first half, Life was able to reverse the mark by limiting the Tigers to only four shots, compared to their 14 for the remainder of the match. 
 
The first half was a quiet one for both teams, as only nine shots were recorded between the two. 
 
The Tigers were however able to capitalize on a goal for Marc Lawrence, in the 21st minute of the match. Lawrence's goal came on his second of his four shot attempts in the half as he fired from right outside the box to give Campbellsville a 1-0 lead that held until the half.
 
Heading out of the halftime, Life was immediately able to put together their equalizer as Thierry Jules was able to record a goal off of a pass from Sereeira.
 
This goal created momentum for the Running Eagles as they continued to fire shots, putting up 11 in the period.
 
Campbellsville was unable to record their first shot of the half until the 80th minute, but was not able to find the back of the net, forcing overtime. 
 
As play entered overtime, only one shot was able to be recorded through the first OT period. Nonetheless, Life's offense continued pressure the Tigers with three shots in the second overtime before Reyes Hernandez's goal became the winner for the Running Eagles.
 
Campbellsville will return to Finley Stadium on October 23rd as Thomas More visits CU at 8 p.m. ET.
