Tigers seeking bounce back win as they return home on Wednesday

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Following two tough road overtime losses, the Tigers return to Finley Stadium on Wednesday for an 8 p.m. ET meeting with Thomas More.
 
The match will be broadcasted live on the CU Sports Network starting at 7:45 as Zach Clements will be on the call. Fans can watch online at CampbellsvilleTigers.com/watch or stream the game on the Roku and Apple TV apps on their televisions.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Tigers are coming off back to back road overtime losses after a 1-0 loss to the University of the Cumberlands last Wednesday and a 2-1 loss to Life University on Saturday.
  • On Saturday, the Tigers playing in sloppy conditions, as rain hit the greater part of Georgia throughout the evening, slowed the Tiger offense throughout the second half of play, only totaling four shots after the first 45 minutes.
  • Campbellsville was able to get on the board early as Marc Lawrence score of the Tigers in the 21st minute to give CU the 1-0 lead.
  • After halftime Life bounced right back with a goal in the 48th minute.
  • This tie held until the 107th minute as Reyes Hernandez scored the golden goal to give the Running Eagles the win.
  • Campbellsville was missing key forward, Kalvin Semedo, as he was receiving a one game suspension due to a red card in the game versus the Patriots.
  • The Tigers were also playing a man down after Azad Illiozer received his second yellow in the 97th minute. Illiozer must now miss this upcoming match against Thomas More.
 
PREVIEW OF THOMAS MORE
  • Entering Wednesday's match, the Saints hold an overall record of 4-8-1, but are winless inside the Mid-South Conference.
  • Like the Tigers, Thomas More is also coming off back to back overtime games as they lost 2-1 to Pikeville and were able to tie Shawnee State this past Saturday.
  • The Saints have been led this season by Ethan Smith who leads the team in goals (11), shots (40), and shots on goal (23).
  • George Tidswell has recorded most of the time in goal for Thomas More and has recorde 52 saves thus far this season.
 
HISTORY VERSUS THE SAINTS
  • Since 2005, the Tigers and the Saints have only played once, as Thomas More is a recent NCAA Division III transfer into the Mid-South Conference.
  • In this meeting, the Saints were able to shutout CU, winning the match 2-0.

  • The Tigers currently hold a MSC record of 2-2, placing them fifth in the conference standings.
  • Thomas More, winless in conference play sit at ninth in the standings.
