CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Looking for their second-straight home win against a team that defeated them on the road, the Campbellsville University women's volleyball team suffered a loss at the hands of Lindsey Wilson College via a sweep Tuesday night.
The Blue Raiders set a tone at the beginning of each set, going up 3-0 to start the second and third sets after starting the first set on a 5-0 run. LWC won each set by five or more points to win each set by scores of 25-20, 25-12, and 25-15.
The first set was looking to be a double-digit win for Lindsey Wilson but the Lady Tigers had a pair of runs with a mini 3-0 run down 23-11 then a 6-0 run behind the serve of freshman
Man Chin Fung to cut the lead to 24-20 before the Blue Raiders put away the final kill of the set.
The Lady Tigers struggled on the attack all night with their hitting percentage dropping as each set passed, finish the match with a .031 attack percentage as a team.
Sonia Flendrich led the team in kills for the fourth-straight match with eight on the night on 36 attacks for a .056 hitting percentage.

Jaimie Thompson had a busy night on the back row, leading all players in the match with 20 digs on the night.
Not much could stop LWC's Kasia Niderla who recorded a match-high 15 kills on only 29 attacks with just two errors while adding five block assists for a total of 18.5 points accounted four. She was backed up on the outside by Alexis Smith who finished 11-for-28.
The Lady Tigers will have two more matches remaining in the regular season with Senior Night schedule for next Wednesday against Thomas More University. They will end the 2019 regular schedule with a road match against Georgetown College on Nov. 8.
