CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Lady Tigers hosted Centre College on Friday evening for the home opener of the 2019-20 season.
Campbellsville was led by
Hannah Rhodenbaugh who was able to break the Lady Tiger record, marking a 10:16.31 in the 800 free to record a first place finish. Rhodenbaugh was then able to tally a runner-up finish in the 200 meter IM with a 2:41.56.
Sarah Beth Howard also put together some stellar marks as she recorded second and third place finishes in the 50 free (30.73) and 100 backstroke (1:16.78).
Howard was joined by
Faith Hyde in the backstroke, where Hyde trailed by two seconds for a fourth place finish.
Mikayla Runner also recorded a second place finish in the 400 free with a 5:35.61 overall mark. Runner participated in the 200 free as well, finishing fourth in 2:36.15. Hyde also participated in this event, recording a third place finish in 3:35.03.
The Lady Tigers fell to Centre College 148-50, but Coach Casey was proud of how the team competed overall.
On the home opener, Coach Casey said, "It was great to host Centre again, and very fun to watch my team work hard in their events and see results of the training we've had so far!"
The Lady Tigers will have a two week break before returning to action at Life University on October 19
th.
