Representing Team USA, Kenya Sloan wins Gold at Berlin Open with four wins

BERLIN, Germany — Campbellsville University's Kenya Sloan was one of six U.S. wrestlers that won Gold over the weekend at the Berlin Open. 
 
Sloan, competing in the junior division, claimed gold along with Tiare Ikei and Michaela Beck.

Sloan, a 2019 Junior Pan American champion, competed at 76 kg and navigated a round-robin bracket, picking up four wins for the title.

Sloan, just a sophomore for the Lady Tigers, finished last season with a 23-14 record and placed sixth at the inaugural NAIA Championship.

The Lady Tigers open their schedule this coming weekend, Sunday, Nov. 17 at the Missouri Valley Open in Marshall, Mo.
