CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University women's swimming team dropped their pair of dual meets to Lindsey Wilson College and Union College, but the Lady Tigers were able to come away with individual improvements on the day.
The dual against the Blue Raiders finished with final team scores of 190-60 but CU kept it closer against the Bulldogs, finishing the dual 124-95 in favor of Union.
Four Lady Tigers improved on their career-best times led by a pair of PRs from
Anna Lewis who put up career times in the 200 freestyle and the 200 individual medley. Lewis finished the 200 free with a 2:48.62, almost 20 seconds better than her previous best of 3:03.45 and her 200 IM time of 3:17.29 was about 15 seconds better than her previous 3:30.86.
Both
Faith Hyde and
Hannah Hager improved on their personal best times with Hyde improving on her 200 backstroke time of 2:50.45 with a time of 2:48.91 on Saturday. Hager just barely topped her previous best in the 200 freestyle improving on a 2:26.86 with a 2:26.36 on Saturday.
Anna Hayes also picked up her first career time in the 200 breaststroke, finishing with an official time of 3:45.87.
Looking ahead for CU women's swimming, they will compete again next Saturday at University of the Cumberlands in an official Mid-South Conference dual meet.
