SEWANEE, Tn. – Lady Tiger swimming got their weekend started this evening, participating in the Sewanee Igloo Invite.
The relay teams highlighted the day for the Lady Tigers as they scored a majority of their points in the team events.
CU opened the day off with sixth and 13
th place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle relays. The Lady Tiger A-team consisting of
Hannah Rhodenbaugh,
Faith Hyde,
Hannah Hager, and Sara Beth Howard were able to mark a 1:47.93. The team of
Mikayla Runner,
Anna Lewis,
Lexie Upton, and
Kate Bouldin followed with a 1:58.94.
In the 400-yard freestyle relays, Coach Casey kept her relay teams the same and were able to finish fourth and 13
th. The A-team swam a 4:34.4 and relay B swam a 5:07.93 followed.
In the final relay of the day, the 800-yard freestyle, the Lady Tigers mixed up their two relay teams as relay A made of Hager, Runner, Hyde, and Rhodenbaugh placed sixth with an 8:52.29. Howard, Lewis, Bouldin, and Upton marked a 9:32.67 for 11
th place.
Rhodes College leads the invitational after day one with 525 points.
The Lady Tigers sit in sixth with 131 points to enter day two of the invite.
