LEBANON, Tenn. – For the second time this season, the Campbellsville women's basketball team scored 100 points in a game as they earned a 103-39 victory over Voorhees College on Saturday afternoon to close out the Rosa Stokes Classic hosted by Cumberland University.
A 50-11 first half boosted the Lady Tigers to their blowout victory as they forced VC into 19 turnovers in the half and limited them to 18.5 percent shooting from the field through 20 minutes of basketball. Also during that time CU outrebounded Voorhees 26-14 and shot 48.6 percent from the field.
Campbellsville had six players in double figures led by 16-point games from
Madison Faulkner and Lexi Lake. They scored their 16 in almost polar opposite ways as all of Faulkner's shots from the field came from the two-point area with all of Lake's coming from outside the three-point arc.
CU got 11 points efforts from both
Ashlee McGeorge and
Cristin Hall off the bench as well as 10 points apiece from
Savannah Gregory and
Shyla Calbert. McGeorge piled up the rebounds in the game finishing with five as Calbert was all over the floor in her 17 minutes with six steals, three assists, and two rebounds.
Only two members of the Lady Tigers finished without points as
Courtney Pritchett and
Caitlin Hall only combined to take one shot but they did combine for 11 assists as Pritchett led the game with seven dimes and Hall finishing with four.
Campbellsville will move on to play their first home game of the 2019-20 season when they welcome West Virginia University Tech to the Powell Athletic Center next Tuesday for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
