Gregory named MSC Player of the Week after leading Lady Tigers to 2-0 start

COLUMBIA, Ky. – In the Campbellsville University women's basketball first weekend of regular season games, a Lady Tiger basketball player was awarded her sixth-career Player of the Week honor as Savannah Gregory was named by the conference this afternoon.

Gregory, a redshirt junior from Scottsville, Ky., notched a career-high tying 25 points in the Lady Tigers' season opener against Dillard University while adding 11 rebounds for her third-career double-double. She was a big part of CU's 27-16 third quarter against the Lady Bleu Devils with nine points, a steal, assist, and rebound all in the quarter.

In CU's second game of the Chamber Classic, Gregory finished with 13 points, five steals, four assists and three rebounds as the Lady Tigers earned a 90-77 win over Brescia University.

Last season, Gregory was named the conference player of the week three of the last four weeks and four times overall making this first honor of 2019-20 her second-straight and fourth out of five weeks eligible.

Campbellsville women's basketball will continue their non-conference schedule away from CU with another pair of classic games as part of the Mid-South Conference/Southern States Challenge in Pulaski, Tenn. this Friday and Saturday against Bethel University and Martin Methodist College.
