Young earns her second career MSC Defensive Player of Week after career high on Saturday

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lady Tiger keeper, Katelyn Young was named the Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
 
Young earned this honor after allowing only one goal to the eight ranked Blue Raiders, while shutting out Cumberland University this past week.
 
In the two matches of the week, Young was able to record 12 saves, including ten in the 1-0 win over the Phoenix, which was a new career high for the junior keeper.
 
Young's clean sheet was her sixth shutout of the 2019 campaign.
 
Young will look to have a repeat performance as they Lady Tigers will match back up with the Cumberland University Phoenix in the opening round of the MSC Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
