CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Looking for a little momentum heading into postseason play, the Campbellsville University women's volleyball team fell to Georgetown College 3-1 in four sets on the road Friday night.
Georgetown took the sets 25-15, 25-23, 23-25, and 26-24 as the Lady Tigers were fighting back after a tough 10-point opening set loss. Georgetown was led by a match-high 14 kills from Sarah Snyder as she finished .429 hitting percentage as well.
CU was led by a 10-for-36 effort from freshman
Sophie Ball and was backed up with nine kills from
Yelyzaveta Sharkova, as well as eight each by
Irene Baroni and
Asarar Gony in the middle.
With the regular season coming to a close, the Lady Tigers will prepare for the beginning of the Mid-South Conference tournament starting next Wednesday in Bowling Green, Ky. at Bowling Green High School.
