Lady Tigers seek to take three-game lead over Lindsey Wilson in rivalry matchup on Saturday

COLUMBIA, Ky. — The final road game on this swing continues on Saturday at Lindsey Wilson College - a place where head coach Ginger High Colvin has had major success in her tenure. 
 
No. 4 Campbellsville and No. 20 Lindsey Wilson meet at 3 p.m. ET in the Biggers Sports Center on Saturday afternoon. Coverage begins on the CU Sports Network starting at 2:45. 
 
While playing in the Biggers Sports Center, coach Ginger High Colvin boasts a 7-4 record over the years. The Lady Tigers enter with a season-high 11-game winning streak and are looking to take a three-game lead over the Blue Raiders in the Mid-South Conference standings. 
 
The two rivals met earlier in the year on January 12th in the Powell Athletic Center and the Lady Tigers won 75-64 to claim the fourth-straight win in the series for Campbellsville. 
 
Head coaches Ginger High Colvin and John B. Wethington are both in the Top 12 of the active coaching wins in the NAIA. Coach Wethington, in his 30th season, ranks third and Colvin, in her 12th year, ranks No. 12.
 

Series Facts:
  • Campbellsville and Lindsey Wilson are meeting for the 77th time in program history. The Lady Tigers lead the series, 56-20.
  • During the High Colvin era, the Lady Tigers have faced Lindsey Wilson four times in the Mid-South Conference Tournament. The last meeting came in the MSC semifinal in 2018 with CU winning 90-78.
  • Overall, the two have only met six times in the MSC Tournament. Lindsey Wilson's lone win came in 2008, 75-68, in the semifinals.
  • On Jan. 22, 1990, CU shot 73 percent from behind the 3-point line against LWC - this is still a season-game record for CU.
  • Since the 2009-10 season, Campbellsville has won 18 of the 22 games in the series.
  • CU has won four straight in the series.

Stewart is three points away from 1,000:
  • The reigning MSC Player of the Week, Madison Stewart, is three points away from eclipsing the 1,000-point mark. 
  • She would become the second Lady Tiger to reach the feat this year as fellow senior Jordan Doram did so against Mobile on Dec. 29. 
  • Stewart, averaging 11.7 points per game, has added so much to her game this season that she does it all for the Lady Tigers. She scores, rebounds, passes and leads the team with defensive charges takin. 
  • The southpaw is hitting 49 percent from 3-point land and has scored 26+ in three of the last four games entering Saturday. 
  • In her career, Stewart has 997 points, 400 rebounds and 163 assists. 
Gregory has career-high at Cumberland:
  • Playing only 45 minutes away from her hometown in Scottsville, Ky., redshirt-sophomore Savannah Gregory scored a career-high 25 Thursday night against Cumberland. 
  • Gregory was 9-of-16 from the field, including 6-of- 9 from 3-point land - which is a career mark too. 
  • She also had seven rebounds and five steals. 
  • Gregory ranks No. 3 in the NAIA with 95 steals on the year and averages 3.95 steals per game - which is No. 5. 
Scouting Lindsey Wilson:
  • The Blue Raiders enter the weekend after winning five straight conference games.
  • LWC is 6-2 inside the MSC and sits in second place behind the Lady Tigers in the standings.
  • Reagan Turner does it all for LWC in points, passing, rebounds and defense. She leads the MSC by averaging 20.2 points per game, dishes out 3.3 assists, swipes 2.1 steals and even averages 3.6 boards per game.
  • Her 20.2 points ranks sixth in the country.
  • Head coach John B. Wethington has led Lindsey Wilson for 30 years and reached the 600-win mark on Monday vs. Wilberforce in a 76-52 win. 
  • He is the program's all-time leader in wins and ranks third among the active coaches in the NAIA. He owns a .638 winning percentage with 25 winning seasons, including 17 20-win seasons.

  • The last time Campbellsville won at Reinhardt University and Shawnee State University in the same season, they Lady Tigers went to NAIA national finals.

  • Coach Colvin has an overall record of 324-81. • CU enters its 45th season and has an overall record of 984-361.
