AUBURN DALE, Fla. — Lady Tiger softball won game one over Keiser University, 9-6, before winning in extra innings in game two, 4-3, to finish the RussMat Softball Classic with a 5-1 record.

The Lady Tigers started the year with an 8-0 loss to Warner University before winning five straight to end the week. CU defeated No. 22 Southeastern University twice, 4-2 and 4-3, Bryan College, 3-1, and Keiser University twice today.

Mia Aldridge, Lexi Miller and Ryley Whitney led the Lady Tigers on the week at the plate. Aldridge stepped her game up today by going 3-for-4 in game one and went 2-for-4 in the second contest. She combined to drive in three runs and score two today.

Whitney went 6-for-19 on the week with two home runs, a double and drove in two. Miller was also 6-for-19 with a pair of doubles, two RBI and, a team-high five runs scored – the biggest was the game-winning run in the eighth inning of the second game today.

Morgan Gailor picked a save and a win today in the two games to improve to 2-1 and earning her first save of the year. Gailor came in for relief of Payton Blades and Aleigha Talsma in game one with a three-run lead, 9-6, and shut the door. In game two, she went the distance with her second-straight complete game win by striking out six over eight innings.

Campbellsville 9, Keiser 6
The Lady Tigers took a 3-0 lead in the first inning after three errors by the starting pitcher Autumn Green. CU took a 5-0 lead after the top of the second when Kelly Wheeler led off the inning with a single and she was followed with two hits by Miller and Whitney. Wheeler and Miller both scored on a two-out two-RBI single up the middle by Riley Hurst

Keiser scratched its first-two runs in the second frame after an RBI single by Megan Carver scoring Janelle Dominguez. The second run came around to score on an error at shortstop by Hurst to cut the CU lead to three, 5-2.

Keiser scored another in the third after a leadoff double by Ally Thompson came around to score on an RBI single by Avery Miller.

Aleigha Talsma started in the circle in game one and only lasted three innings. She allowed five hits, two earned runs and struck out three.

Leading now 5-3, Campbellsville put up a 3-spot in the fourth but had to do so with two outs. Whitney doubled to lead off the inning and was followed with a two-out hit-by-pitch by Ryleigh Oldham and walk to Hannah Judd. After a wild pitch scored pinch-runner Ivy Hedgespeth, Aldridge then stepped up with a two-run double to push CU's lead to 8-3.

Payton Blades entered into the circle in the bottom of the fourth and the Skyhawks scored a run after another Lady Tiger error. Moving all the way to the sixth, CU picked up an insurance run. Aldridge delivered another RBI single to score Oldham who reached via another hit-by-pitch.

The Skyhawks answered in the sixth with two runs and made the game interesting. Gailor entered after the first batter in the seventh for Keiser reached on a single and shut the door for her first save of the year.

Blades tossed three innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs to earn her first win as a Lady Tiger. Gailor tossed the final inning working three fly ball outs.

Campbellsville 4, Keiser 3
Gailor started in the circle in game two and shoved through the first seven innings. The only blemish was a lone unearned run in the second after a pair of two-out singles was coupled with a wild pitch and error.

CU took a 2-1 lead after three innings as Tori Humphrey pelted her second home run in as many days. That's where the score would stay until the seventh.

The Skyhawks tied the game in the seventh after Gailor surrendered her first walk of the year with one out. It came around to score with an RBI double by Megan Carver.

Tied after seven innings, the international tiebreaker rule came into effect and both teams scored – but it was Campbellsville scoring twice to win it.

Keiser put leadoff Ally Thompson on second base and she scored on an RBI single by Avery Miller. But with two runners on and no outs, Gailor worked out of the jam to keep CU close.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Lady Tigers took advantage of the second error by Keiser. Aldridge started on second base and moved to third after a sac bunt by Humphrey. With two outs, Miller delivered the RBI single up the middle to tie it at 3-3.

It came down to Ryleigh Oldham. She hit a hard grounder to third, but Larrisa Ostrander's throw went wide at first base and into the dugout. The error allowed Miller to reach third and with the ball going out of play, gave CU the game-winning run.

Paige Boyle was the tough-luck loser after tossing 7.1 innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts.
