CEDARVILLE, Ohio- National Champion and All-American finishes lead the way for the Tigers this afternoon as they finish the NCCAA Championships in fourth place.
Garland Webb led the day as he was able to secure the first national title of his career in the triple jump with a jump of 14.20m on his final attempt. Webb was behind Cincinnati Christians Kelvin Campbell's jump of 14.05m heading into the final jump before surpassing him as he was also able to tie the field house record with his jump. Webb was also able to add onto his point total this afternoon with a fifth place finish in the long jump of 6.90m.
Corbin Harris went on to add to his All-American collection this afternoon when he was able to place third in the 3000m run and earn his second All-American honor of the meet with a time of 8:58.19.
Sam Kiser was next in line to finish as an All-American for the Tigers Saturday afternoon. Kiser finished runner-up in the 800m run with a time of 1:58.50 as Kiser now has four total NCCAA All-American honors in his career.
In the mile,
Camryn Snapp narrowly missed All-American as well as having a chance to win the race as the top five finishers were within two seconds of each other. Snapp finished fourth overall with a school record time of 4:21.56, a time that qualified him for the NAIA Championships with a B standard.
Bret Crawford joined Snapp in the close race as he finished the mile in sixth place with a time of 4:25.07.
Bethel won the meet with a total of 164 points while Cedarville finished second with 144.50, Greenville finished third with 90 points, and Campbellsville finished fourth overall with a point total of 55.50.
The Tigers will be back in action in two weeks at the NAIA National Championships in South Dakota starting on Feb. 28.
