NCCAA announces 2019 Baseball Scholar-Athletes; Davis & Taitague earn honor

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced its 2019 Scholar-Athletes and Campbellsville University has two Tigers earning the honor. 
 
Logan Davis, a senior pitcher, and Chris Taitague, a senior outfielder, both earned the honor. 
 
In order to be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, be of at least junior standing and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.
 
The Tigers finished one win away from the NAIA Opening Round Championship and World Series berth. CU completed the 2019 season with a 32-20 overall record and won its 10thMid-South Conference Tournament Championship.
