Lady Tigers fall in 3-0 sweep at the hands of Cumberland University

LEBANON, Tenn.  – The Campbellville University women's volleyball team took to the court for the first time in four days as they took to the road to face the Phoenix of Cumberland University.

Unfortunately for the Lady Tigers, the Phoenix were on top of their game as they swept their way to a 3-0 win by set scores of 25-17, 25-10, and 25-15. The two teams were polar opposites on the attack as Cumberland hit for a .474 percentage as a team with Campbellsville finishing the match at .056 for their team attack percentage.

Cumberland was led by Masa Nalovic who finished with a match-high 14 kills on 23 attacks with only four errors for a hitting percentage of .435. She also added two blocks as the Phoenix blocked seven total shots in the match compared to only two blocks for Campbellsville.

Once again, the Lady Tigers' leading attacker was Kymbra Kirby but she only finished with five kills in the match on 13 total attacks. In comparison, four different Cumberland attackers finished with more than five kills at the conclusion of the match.

Now Campbellsville will have a full seven days before they play again, when they face top-10 foe Lindsey Wilson in Columbia, Ky. on Sept. 24.
