Men's bowling finishes in third at season-opening Green River Classic

DANVILLE, Ky. — Nolan Renfro totaled 932 pins to lead Campbellsville men's bowling to a third-place finish at the season-opening Green River Classic at Bowlorama in Danville. 
 
The Tigers finished in third place with a team score of 6,821 pins. Tennessee Wesleyan won the team title with 7,104 pins and Lindsey Wilson College placed third with 6,821 pins. Newly developed Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg placed sixth with 6,706 pins. 
 
Individually, Renfro bowled his third game in the 200s and averaged 186.4 in the five games. 
 
On the junior varsity side, it was Luke Morris finished second as the runner-up JV bowler in the field. He finished in 24thplace overall and averaged 180.8 in the five games.   
 
The JV team won the junior varsity classic by 202 pins over Cumberland University. The Tigers finished with 6,244 pins. 
 
The Tigers will now hit the road to Savannah, Georgia for the SCAD Collegiate Shootout starting on Saturday, Sept. 28.
