GREENVILLE, S.C. – Coming off of a big 1-0 win over Bethel University, the Campbellsville University women's soccer team was voted fourth in the latest NCCAA Division I Rankings.
The Lady Tigers are currently on a six-game winning streak after dropping their season opener 1-0 to Asbury. Since then they have only allowed a single goal and scored 37 goals over that six-game stretch, though their win Monday night over the Wildcats did not count towards the voting.
They are led on the offensive side by a couple of high-volume scorers so far in
Molly Hall and
Jessie Bryson. Both play the central striker position in the CU formation with Hall as the starter and Bryson coming in to spell her off the bench.
Their five-straight shutouts have come with
Katelyn Young in net for CU as she saw her biggest test last night against Bethel making five save in the game when she went in making only five saves all season.
The Lady Tigers will get back on the field this Saturday with a road game against No. 9 in the NAIA Coaches' Poll in Martin Methodist.
