SAVANNAH, Ga. – Over the weekend, Tiger bowling participated in SCAD Collegiate Shootout as they were able to finish sixth overall.
Day One
Individually, the Tigers were led by an 11
thplace finish from
Nolan Renfro who was able to average a score of 184 after bowling four games. Renfro started off his day slower, but exploded in his final game, scoring a 247.
Luke Morris also pulled out a top 25 individual finish with a total score of 655. Morris' play was extremely consistent as he was scored a 166, 156, 167, and 166 throughout his four games played.
Jacob Williams tallied a 37
thplace finish after a 601-score total. Other Tigers that placed individually included
Austin Montgomery in 53
rdwith a 512-score total,
Jonathon Burguess in 70
thwith a 424 total, and
Andrew McWhorter scoring 292 total points in 89
th.
These individual performances led Campbellsville to a 3220-team score total prior to the baker games, which placed them in fourth.
The Tigers were then able to begin baker play on fire as they picked up scores of 194 and 224 in the first two games. However, play began to slow in baker three, and the Tigers were able to bring their baker total to 2594.
This score helped Campbellsville remain in fourth as their total was brought to 5814.
Day Two
On day two of the tournament
Austin Montgomery led the Tigers, placing 21
stoverall. Montgomery was able to start his four game set shooting a 201 and totaling 694.
Adam Zimmerman closely followed with a 26
thplace finish, scoring 668 total points, highlighted by a 188 in game three.
The remaining individual scores were
Nolan Renfro (621),
Andrew McWhorter (495), Jacob Williams (431),
Jonathon Burguess (179), and
Luke Morris (146)
These individual scores brought Campbellsville's team total to 3234, placing them in sixth.
In baker games, it was games 13 and 14 created much of the scoring totals for the team. In these games, the Tigers were able to score their match highs of 198 and 203. However, that was not enough to make up the ground on Florida Gulf Coast and Belmont Abbey College, as the Tigers finished in sixth with an overall total score of 5692.
Webster International was able to SCAD-Savannah by 358 points in the baker games to win the tournament.
The Tigers will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 5
thas they participate in the Louisville Classic at King Pin Lanes.
