CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – This past weekend, the Lady Tigers closed their season as a part of a double dual at Lindsey Wilson College.
Once again,
Hannah Rhodenbaugh seemed to lead CU with two runners-up and an event win.
As a part of the 400-yard medley relay, the team of
Faith Hyde, Rhodenbaugh,
Lexie Upton, and
Hannah Hager were able to park a 4:47.34, finishing just six seconds shy of Lindsey Wilson's relay.
With a quick bounce back, Rhodenbaugh then swam the next event in the 1000 freestyle, as she marked a personal best of 11:43.88 for second place. Hager (12:12.86),
Kate Bouldin (14:07.84), and
Clarice Ritter (15:23.83) were able to finish fourth, sixth, and seventh in the event.
Rhodenbaugh then later came back to swim the 500-yard freestyle and swam a time of 5:39.55 to win the event. Hager closely followed in 5:50.75 for second place. The pair were also joined by
Mikayla Runner (6:26.51) and Ritter (7:07.43).
The Lady Tigers were also able to capture first and second place finishes in the 200-yard breaststroke as Upton swam a 3:08.53 to lead
Anna Hayes (3:21.77) to the finish.
Upton and Hayes were also able to put in races together in the 100-yard breaststroke finishing third and fourth in 1:27.69 and 1:33.28.
Anna Lewis joined the couple for fifth in 1:38.22.
Hayes later went on to finish third in the 100-yard butterfly, hitting a personal best time of 1:17.54.
Lewis later joined Upton again in the 200-yard IM as Upton finished third again, touching the wall in 2:47.59 while Lewis gathered a 2:58.11 for fourth.
The Lady Tigers fell to Lindsey Wilson, but were able to capture win over the Saints of Thomas More, 126-63.
This concludes the season for Campbellsville as they will now enter postseason swimming as a part of the Mid-South Conference Championships on Feb. 5 in Kingsport, Tenn.
