CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – This Tuesday will mark the only date in the fall of 2020 as the Campbellsville University women's soccer team will face Asbury University for an official regular season contest in Wilmore, Ky. at 5 p.m. ET.

The Lady Tigers have not had any other scrimmage or exhibition action against outside opponents this fall as they will open their 2020 regular season against Asbury after over a month of fall workouts. This will mark the second-straight season CU women's soccer will open their season against Asbury as they fell to the Eagles last season 1-0 on Aug. 28, 2019.
Coming off of a 13-6-2 season in head coach
Alex Adams' first season, the Lady Tigers will return a bulk of the 2019 roster led offensively by senior forward
Molly Hall. Hall has scored 38 goals in her three years at CU after a 13-goal 2019, which places her in a tie for third place all-time in school history.
Behind Hall, some literally some figuratively, Campbellsville boasts returning depth in the midfield and forward positions with seven multi-goal scorers returning for 2020. Sophomore
Jessie Bryson was right behind Hall's goal total as Bryson scored 12 goals in her freshman campaign along with
Magali Brizuela (3),
Jenna Croteau (3),
Lauryn Martin (3),
Braxton Gentry (3),
Rebecca Lilley (3), and
Olja Ivanovic (2) all finding the back of the net on multiple occasions last season.
Defensively, experience will lead the way in goal and on the back line as senior goalkeeper
Katelyn Young returns after starting all 21 games for the Lady Tigers in 2019 while recording seven shutouts. Defenders,
Hailey Chappell, Shanon Ramey,
Milena Derougeur, and
Sarah Johnston highlight the returners on the back line as all four played in 18 or more of the 21 contests last season.
Asbury will be coming off of back-to-back shutout wins heading into Tuesday's matchup as they earned a 6-0 win over Brescia last Thursday and a 4-0 win against Ohio Christian this past Saturday. Overall the Eagles are 2-3-1 so far on the season, playing a regular schedule in the fall that started on Sept. 12 as the River States Conference will not compete in the spring.
AU boasts four multi-goal scorers early on this season led by Caroline Absher's three goals then followed up by two goals from Amber McIntosh, Elizabeth Sparks, and Oliva Ruckriegel.
Following this lone regular season contest, CU women's soccer is scheduled play a pair of scrimmages on the road against Mid-South Conference teams to finish out their October.
