Two boats make cut, Coffey and Roy jump 12 places to sit in fourth at Bassmaster College Series on Lake Cumberland

JAMESTOWN, Ky. — A brisk cool morning heated up in a hurry for Campbellsville's Alec Coffey and Kyle Roy on Friday as the duo jumped 12 places up the leaderboard to sit in fourth heading into Championship Saturday.

Coffey and Roy, both who call Lake Cumberland their home fishery, reeled in a whopping 11 pounds 9 ounces and now have a total of 21 pounds even – 1 pound and 7 ounces from the leaders at Clemson University, Sean Clayton and Owen Dimaio.

Dalton Smith and Bradley Dunagan cooled off just a touch with 8 pounds 6 ounces on Day 2. They now sit in sixth place with 20 pounds 9 ounces through the first two rounds.

Both boats will join 10 other duos and compete in Saturday's championship flight scheduled to take-off at 8 a.m. ET from Halcomb's Landing in Jamestown. Weigh-ins will be held back at the ramp each day at 4 p.m. ET and livestreamed on Bassmaster.com.

In addition to the two boats competing on Saturday, Logan Hawkins and Colby Hays finished in the Top 20 with 15 lbs. 15 oz. in total.

With the three Campbellsville boats in the Top 20, the Tigers now have five total teams heading to the national championship. Grant Adams & Wil Rigdon and Matthew Bradham & Caleb Stephenson qualified for the Bassmaster National Championship in earlier tournaments.
