Grayson, KY- Campbellsville finished their only scheduled meet of the fall semester at Kentucky Christian over the weekend.
Darionta Bell led the team throughout the meet. Bell was able to pick up two wins on the day in the 60m dash and the 200m dash. In the 60m dash he won with split time of 7.03 which was .13 ahead of Shawnee States Faheem Gilbert. Bell was able to hold of Gilbert again in the 200m dash when he crossed the line at 22.76 while Gilbert came in at 23.16.
Jeremiah Parker was dusted off the rust in the shot put and weight throw with two runner-up finishes. In the shot put he was able to hit a mark of 12.95m. Union's Anthony Symile won the event with a distance of 14.50m. Parker and Symile faced off again in the weight throw. Parker made it a closer match when he threw for 14.10m and was only .08m behind Symile at 14.18m.
Rookie David Young made his debut for the Tigers and brought back a runner-up finish in the triple jump with a mark of 12.88m. Young was also able to place fourth in the long jump hitting a mark of 5.99m.
A handful of Tigers were able to make their debut this weekend.
Trejean Sanders,
Kobie Neal,
Donavon Matthews, and
Cainan Daniels. Sanders led the group of rookies in the 60m dash. He crossed the line at 7.38. Neal came in at fourth in the 200m dash behind
Darionta Bell crossing at 23.90.
The Tigers are slated to return to action in January 2021 at the Rose-Hulman Friday night invitational.
