CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Not missing a beat after a month-long layoff, the Campbellsville University women's basketball team will get back to the court this Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET at the Powell Athletic Center when they host Bryan College.
This will be the first ever meeting between the two programs with both teams coming in with strong winning records after the Lions won their first five games of the season and the Lady Tigers will come in on a 3-0 start to their 2020-21.
In CU's win this past Wednesday over Brescia, both
Sammy Rogers and
Savannah Gregory delivered 20-point games with Rogers finishing the game with a career-high 24 points while adding five rebounds, four steals, and three assists.
As per the latest Campbellsville University Athletics protocol, no outside spectators will be allowed to attend the game.
BROADCAST INFORMATION
- Matt Payton, the voice of Tiger basketball, will be on the call for the broadcast as he will be joined by CU's second all-time leading scorer and Campbellsville Hall of Famer Benji Kelly.

OFFENSIVE EFFICIENCY
- Through three games, the Lady Tigers have been strong in their ability to play offensive basketball, currently averaging 104.7 points per game while shooting over 50 percent from the field and just near 40 percent from three-point range.
- Along with the high scoring average and strong shooting percentages, CU has been able to move the ball well, leading to the second-best assist average in the NAIA at 31.7 helpers per game while also not turning it over too much with the NAIA's best assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.2 and the second-best turnover margin at plus-17.
- Individually, Gregory and Rogers find themselves in various NAIA stat rankings as Gregory is in the top-five in both shooting percentage (73.5%) and three-point field goal percentage (69.2%) with Rogers in the top-30 among NAIA players in field goal percentage (63.6%), three-point percentage (53.8%), and free-throw shooting percentage (90.9%).
- Not to be forgotten is the Lady Tigers' starting point guard, sophomore Bailey Pedigo as she was thrust into the starting role due to injury but is still running the offense like a savvy veteran ranking seventh in the NAIA in assists per game (7.3) and assist-to-turnover ratio (4.4).
SCOUTING BRYAN
- The Lions hold that 5-1 record with their most recent loss coming against NAIA No. 3 ranked Marian University last Thursday as the Knights earned a 90-63 win.
- BC's five wins came against Kentucky Christian, Milligan, Truett-McConnell, Brenau, and Columbia International as they averaged 99.6 points per game in their wins.
- Bryan has five players averaging double figures in scoring led by freshman guard Gracee Dishman as she's averaging 16.5 points per game in the early going.
SERIES FACTS
- CU women's basketball was scheduled to play three Mid-South Conference games next week but had the Cumberlands game postponed so now they will play Bethel at home next Monday then finish their pre-Christmas schedule next Friday on the road at Pikeville.
