GREENVILLE, S.C. – Monday afternoon, the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced Tiger senior, Gage O'Brien has been named the association's pitcher of the week.
 
After a stellar five inning outing on opening day for the Tigers, O'Brien only relinquished three hits in his win over Talladega.
 
Through his afternoon, O'Brien completed the five innings on 74 pitches without allowing an earned run. 
 
In 19 batters faced, O'Brien also set a new career-high mark of eight strikeouts in the performance.
 
With O'Brien on the mound, the Tigers picked up a 4-2 victory before closing opening weekend with a 2-2 record.
 
The Tigers look to return to action on Feb. 14^thwith incoming weather helping to determine the location of the weekend series.
