INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Over the weekend, Tiger bowling traveled to Indianapolis as a part of the MSC Indianapolis Collegiate Classic.
On the weekend, the Tigers were able to accumulate 8,604 points through six team games and 16 baker matches to place 12
thoverall.
Austin Montgomery led CU in their team scores, bowling a six-game average of 196.7 with a final score of 1,180. Montgomery used a high of 213 in game three to help him place 38
th.
Andrew McWhorter followed not too far behind Montgomery as he was able to score 1,140 for 54
thplace. In his opening game, McWhorter tallied a 221 to help his average of 190.
Adam Zimmerman,
Nolan Renfro, and
Luke Morris closed the team scoring for CU as the trio placed 70
th, 72
nd, and 79
th. Zimmerman led the group scoring a 1,065 with a high of 214.
Renfro and Morris closely followed behind with a 1,049 and 1,019.
As CU entered baker play, the quintet of bowlers were able to put together an average of 196.94, with a match high coming in game seven with a score of 224.
Campbellsville recorded 3,151 baker points to bring their overall total to 8,604, sealing a 12
thplace finish.
Outside of the team scoring, the top bowlers of the day for Campbellsville were Emmanuel Casillas and Wade Hines. Casillas led the way with the team's best score on the day, nearly missing averaging a 200, with a score of 1,198 for six games. Hines followed with a final of 1,192 as the duo placed 30
thand 34
th.
Marian University led the team standings after a team total 9,718 points.
