25th-ranked Tiger Baseball set to host four-game series with Siena Heights on Saturday and Sunday

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky — After coming from behind to beat Midway University in a midweek non-conference battle on Monday, the Tigers get back in action on Saturday and Sunday hosting a pair of doubleheaders with Siena Heights University. 
 
Campbellsville and Siena Heights plays at Noon ET on Saturday and turns around with a 1 p.m. start on Sunday – both doubleheaders at HIG Field. 
 
CU Sports Network:
  • All four games will air on the Campbellsville University Sports Network as Tony Fonzo will have the broadcast starting 15 minutes before each game.
  • Fans can follow along on www.campbellsvilletigers.com/watch and also on Apple TV and the ROKU Streaming Apps by searching Campbellsville Sports Network.
Campbellsville vs. Midway:
  • The Tigers used six pitchers and the final five hurlers allowed a combined one hit in the last six innings to upend Midway University, 8-3. 
  • Brendon Nipp picked up the win in the circle. 
  • Offensively, Abdiel Morales led the way with two hits and three RBI, while Campbellsville native Grant McQueary went 2-for-2 and drove in two runs as well. 
Siena Heights starts 0-4:
  • The Saints went 0-4 last weekend in Williamsburg, Ky. last weekend – falling in three games to Cumberlands and another to Midway. 
  • In three of the four games, the Saints lost by one run. 
  • The Saints scored four runs in the final inning over weekend – which are the most runs in any inning this year.
Scouting Siena Heights:
  • The Saints, out of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, return their second-best hitter from last season and home run leader as well in Logan Nolff. He hit .316 last season with three home runs and a team-high 35 RBI.
  • On the mound, Tristan Roth is the leading pitcher after going 4-3 overall last season with an ERA of 3.39 in 63.2 innings. 
  • So far this year, the offense has been a struggle for the Saints. Hitting just .200 (21-of-105) with only eight runs scored.
  • The pitching staff has a team-ERA of 5.84. 
  • Last season, Siena Heights went 20-22 overall and 10-12 in the WHAC.
