CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – In the 10
th week of Collegiate Starleague competition for the Campbellsville University Esports League of Legends team, the Tigers suffered a 2-1 loss to Goshen College last Saturday.
The Maple Leafs' League of Legends team is ranked No. 3 in CU's conference of the CSL as they took the first game of the match against the Tigers.
In the second game of the match,
Ashton Paiz, playing as the character Ahri, was able to hit his charm, a move that damages and charms an enemy it encounters, instantly stopping movement abilities and causing them to walk harmlessly towards Ahri.
Paiz's ability to hit his charm allowed peel, a term for helping protect your main damage creators, for
Chanaphat Boonprasit as Boonprasit was able to carry the Tigers to that second game victory.
The third game did not go the way of CU but head coach
CJ Moritz is really liking where his League of Legends team is heading as they enter the final few weeks of the CSL regular season.
"We are looking better than ever going into the final games of the season," Moritz said. "If we can win our next two it will solidify our 5th rank spot in the conference, making us able to qualify for the playoffs."
Campbellsville Esports League of Legends will have two more weeks of the regular season before the playoffs of the CSL start on Feb. 22.
