CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Coming off of the cancelation or postponement of four-straight games, the Campbellsville University women's basketball team has been cleared to return to game action as they host Freed-Hardeman University at the Powell Athletic Center Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. ET.

The Lady Tigers will open up a Mid-South Conference doubleheader as Tiger basketball will follow up against the Lions at 4:30 p.m. ET after the make-up games were originally scheduled for 5:30 and 8 p.m. ET.

Campbellsville University Athletics' policy for spectators remains that no outside attendees are allowed inside of the building for basketball games, only teams, officials, and game staff are permitted inside of the Powell Athletic Center.

LADY TIGER NOTES
  • Campbellsville is at an unblemished 7-0 overall record with a 3-0 record inside of the Mid-South Conference after winning their last game against Cumberland University on Dec. 31 by a score of 93-49.
  • In that win over Cumberland, Sammy Rogers scored 20 points, 18 in the first half, as her performance led to the senior being recognized as the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week.
  • Fellow senior Savannah Gregory recorded her first double-double of the season when she scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
  • This will be the second time the Lady Tigers are coming off of an extended time away due to COVID-19 as they missed out on six potential games from Nov. 19 to Dec. 5 as they returned to play on Dec. 9 while not missing a beat, earning a 94-57 win over Brescia University.

SCOUTING FREED-HARDEMAN
  • Once a perennial powerhouse in NAIA women's basketball, the Lions have struggled in their first season inside of the Mid-South Conference, currently at a 7-7 overall record and a 1-6 record inside of conference play.
  • Their lone win inside of the MSC came in a forfeit by Life University on Jan. 2, so FHU has not earned a win on the court in the conference.
  • Freed-Hardeman is a generally low scoring team, averaging less than 70 points per game but they also hold their opponents to a low 62.5 points per game average.
  • Individually, four players score in double figures for the Lions led by the 16.5 points per game average from Alyssa LeMay as she is also the team's leading rebounder at 8.5 rebounds per game.

The Lady Tigers will have a hectic remainder of the season as they will now play Monday, Thursday, Saturday, every week for the rest of the regular season as they will host two more home games this week on Thursday against Martin Methodist and on Saturday against Life.
