Women's Swimming CU Athletics

Lady Tigers defeat Martin Methodist while also placing second against Lindsey Wilson in tri-dual over the weekend

Columbia, KY- Campbellsville competed against Martin Methodist and Lindsey Wilson College over the weekend.
 
The Lady Tigers were able to pick up a big win over Martin Methodist of 131-5.
 
In the 400 medley relay Isabel Taylor, Maggie Gibson, Hannah Rhodenbaugh, and Lizandri Crewe-Brown placed second in the event in a time of 4:34.17. 
 
Kendall Goodman topped the podium in the 100-yard breaststroke. She was able to edge Lindsey Wilson's Sarah Lawson in 1:20.93 while Lawson came in at 1:22.55. 
 
Crewe-Brown and Gibson were able to pull in two more runner-up finishes for the team. In the 200-yard butterfly Crewe-Brown finished with a time of 2:17.80. Gibson had her runner-up finish come in the 100-yard butterfly when she finished in 1:07.70. 
 
Anna Lewis was the next swimmer to pull in a second place finish in an individual event. In the 200-yard butterfly she finished in a time of 3:16.57.
 
The Lady Tigers rounded out the day with one final runner-up finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay. Crewe-Brown, Gibson, Rhodenbaugh, and Lewis were able to finish the event in 9:22.04.
 
The team will be back in action for one final tune up this Wednesday January 27th back in Columbia, KY before heading to the Mid-South Conference Championships in early February.
