CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Lady Tigers were unable to out-swim Asbury University and Lindsey Wilson in Friday's tri-match hosted at the Powell Athletic Center Pool. Campbellsville fell to the score of 97-105 against the Eagles and then 30-155 facing the Blue Raiders on senior day.
Campbellsville placed second in the first event with a time of 4:57.94. Swimmers
Lizandri Crewe-Brown,
Leah Zimmerman,
Sarah Wortham, and
Hannah Rhodenbaugh trailed Lindsey Wilson by three seconds in the 400-meter medley relay.
Personal finishes were made as Rhodenbaugh competed with a time of 10:53.43 in the 800-meter freestyle earning her second place behind Lindsey Wilson. Wortham also found herself finishing second with a time 29.74 in the 50-meter freestyle.
In the 100-meter butterfly, Campbellsville's
Maggie Gibson placed third with a 1:14.88 finish. Also, in a 100-meter, Crewe-Brown's backstroke placed her in the top two with a time of 1:12.77.
The Lady Tigers remained valiant in the final event as Wortham,
Morgan Thomas, Crewe-Brown, and
Laya Young competed in the 200-meter freestyle relay. The four placed a top-two finish with a time of 2:01.54.
Campbellsville will reappear next at Union College as they face off Lindsey Wilson and the hosting Union College Bulldogs. The meet will take place next Saturday, November 6
thbeginning at 12 p.m. ET.
