LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Tigers bring in positives after a weekend in Louisville at the Lynn Jordan Memorial and Thomas N Memorial Tournaments over the weekend.
During the Lynn Memorial tournament the Tigers bowling team came out firing by placing three individuals in the top 100. Ambrose Shirk (71st with 888 pts.), Andrew McWhorter (85th with 851 pts.), and Andrew Swift (93rd 832 pts.) made a statement in the men's individual bracket.
Campbellsville finished the first day of the combined tournament with an MSC qualifying team standing at number 15. The Tigers came out with an overall score of 6746.
The tournament comprised of 12 baker games leaving Campbellsville to score a total of 2420 points. The Lynne Jordan Memorial was the second of five scheduled regular-season tournaments this season.
Jumping to the Thomas N Memorial tournament Campbellsville was able to place in the top ten with their team total of 4,890 in the baker bracket. Their game high came from the eighth frame when they bowled a collective 247.
In the final overall standings of the tournament, Campbellsville added onto their point total by the end of the day with their score of 7,209. During their 12 frames, Campbellsville was able to eclipse the 200 mark in five different frames.
Campbellsville will jump back to action November 21-22 when they travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina for the Southeast Matchplay Challenge.
