CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Tigers trailed Georgetown College this afternoon and ended with a score of 3-42 to the opposing Tigers.
Georgetown's first play of the game went for a 40-yard pass. Although CU was beat on the first play, this did not stop the Tigers from attempting to work past the Georgetown Tigers. As the first quarter came to a close, neither team was successful in gaining ground to score.
The second quarter was similar to the first as Georgetown made a touchdown within the 6
th minute. Cain Newland was able to make some crucial tackles as he made six tackles and four of which were solo. Georgetown was able to put the pressure on Campbellsville as they went on to put three touchdowns on the board.
Devin Neally came in to score a 50-yard field goal to end the half.
After the half, Georgetown had a leg up on Campbellsville. The hosting Tigers fell behind in first downs: GC had a total of 18 first downs, whereas CU had six. Campbellsville also struggled in their passing game as Meglis had a completion percentage south of 40% for the first half. Georgetown remained in favor as their total time of possession stood at 19:16 compared to Campbellsville's 10:44.
The third quarter was similar to the second as the Tigers were unable to get their offense going consistently. Georgetown went on to score another touchdown. Campbellsville was unsuccessful in their attempt to enter the end zone the rest of the quarter.
The Tigers remained resilient in their fight to score. However, the fourth quarter left the fighting Tigers with only a field goal on the board.
D'Anta Sipp did his best to run it back for the Tigers as he left the field with a total of 164 rushing yards. Hakeem Dillard led defensively for CU with 10 solo tackles and Newland joining him as he left the field with a total of six solo tackles. To end the game, Georgetown led with 33 first downs and keeping Campbellsville at only 11. Georgetown did continue to add to their time of possession with a total of 38:36 and Campbellsville trailing with only 21:24.

th at Lindsey Wilson College. The "Battle of Highway 55" will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET.
