CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University women's swim team established two new school records on their way to victory over the Bethel University Wildcats 139-73.
The meet began with a new record set during the women's 200-meter medley relay victory as
Lizandri Crewe-Brown,
Leah Zimmerman,
Maggie Gibson, and
Laya Young swam a combined time of 2:14.52. The women would attain another win with the 200-meter freestyle where
Hannah Doyle (2:32.11) and
Morgan Thomas (2:32.31) came first and second.
The 100-meter backstroke was another one-two finish with Crewe-Brown (1:11.82) and
Hannah Rhodenbaugh (1:16.12) and so was the 50-meter freestyle with Young (29.56) and
Sarah Wortham (30.27). Doyle was the best of four competitors in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:10.05 and was the only Lady Tiger who participated in the event.
Campbellsville picked up another first-place finish in the 400-meter freestyle when Zimmerman notched a 5:28.89. Crewe-Brown (2:47.14) and Zimmerman (2:57.40) came in first and second in the penultimate event: the 200-meter individual medley. The last event for the women was the 400-meter freestyle relay and the team of Wortham, Crewe-Brown, Young, and Rhodenbaugh finished with a new Campbellsville women's swimming record of 4:28.55.

The Lady Tigers will have two weeks until their next meet against the Asbury College Eagles on Friday October 22 at 4:30 p.m. ET.
