KANSAS CITY, MO – Lady Tigers hold their ranking at 14
th in the latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll heading into postseason play this Friday.
Campbellsville was able to win their final regular season game of the season over the weekend against rival Georgetown College 2-0.
Olja Ivanovic and
Angeline Kieh were the lone goal scorers for the team in the match.
Lady Tigers are still ranked inside the top 10 in 14 categories in the NAIA statistics. They sit at third in five key categories including; shots, shots on goal, shots per game, goals, and shutouts. The team has recorded seven shutouts so far this year in 16 matches. Campbellsville has outscored their opponents 62-17.
Once again, the Mid-South Conference is heavily represented in the poll. Tennessee Southern has dropped to 4
th in the polls after falling to Cumberland University 2-1. Lindsey Wilson moved up one spot to 11
th, Cumberland University jumped to 16
th, and University of the Cumberlands moved to 18
th.
Campbellsville will take on University of the Cumberlands in the Mid-South Conference quarterfinal match. The winner of the match will move onto to face the winner of Lindsey Wilson and Thomas More University.
The quarterfinal match between the Lady Tigers and Patriots will take place at home on Friday November 5
that 6:30 p.m. ET.
