BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The Lady Tigers competed in a tri-match where they were able to pick up a split victory. Campbellsville split the meet with a 163-0 victory over the Union College Bulldogs and a 175-84 loss to the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders.
Campbellsville placed second in the first event with a time of 2:01.92. Swimmers
Lizandri Crewe-Brown,
Sarah Wortham,
Maggie Gibson, and
Hannah Rhodenbaugh trailed Lindsey Wilson by five seconds in the 200-meter medley relay.
Rhodenbaugh finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:29.25. Crewe-Brown finished the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:07.72, just three seconds behind Lindsey Wilson.
Wortham finished tied for 2
nd in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.62. Also, in a freestyle, swimmers
Morgan Thomas and
Isabel Taylor brought in a 2
nd and 3
rd place finish in the 100-yard.
Crewe-Brown's time of 2:23.16 netted a third-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke. Wortham finished the 100-yard butterfly with a third-place time of 1:04.85.
The Lady Tigers held strong in the final event bringing in a third-place finish in the final event of the day. Swimmers Rhodenbaugh, Thomas, Wortham, and Crewe-Brown posted a time of 1:50.40.
Campbellsville will dive back into action at the Igloo Invitational in Sewanee, Tenn. The two-day event will take place on Friday November 19
th starting at 10 a.m. CT and Saturday November 20
th starting at 9 a.m. CT.
