Sebastiano Musu and Samuel Londono propel the Tigers to their first NCCAA Championship title appearance

KISSIMMEE, FLA. – For the first time in program history Campbellsville advances to the NCCAA National Championship game.

The Tigers were able to past Grace College this afternoon after they had fell to them in the semi-final match the last two seasons.

Early in the match play was in the midfield and a back and forth game before Campbellsville was able to break it loose. Samuel Londono scored the game winner in the 24th minute with a ball from Sebastiano Musu on a back door run.

Musu was not done helping the Tigers on the afternoon. Just 12 minutes later Musu was able to hit the second goal of the match pressing their lead to 2-0 with a ball from Londono.

For the first 25 minutes of the second half most of the play was settled into the midfield.

In the 73rd minute, Grace was able to cut the score in half making it 2-1 on a ball in the bottom right corner of the net.

Jeremi Campagnolo for the remaining 17 minutes of play was lights out. The defense of Scott Brooksbank, Marc Boye, Connor Grant, and Jairo Fernandez kept the net clean from balls coming from the corners.

The game was physical once again with 23 fouls total. Grace outshot the Tigers 18-9 while Campbellsville was able to put four of those on frame.

"Very proud of our boys today," said Coach Preston. "We didn't play our best but competed the entire match. The relentless will to win is what propelled us through. We have been chasing this opportunity for a long time and we're excited to make it count."

The Championship match will between Campbellsville and Judson University tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. ET.
