CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Almost a mirror image of the game that preceded, the Campbellsville University men's basketball team dropped their final game of the regular season to Shawnee State by an 86-54 final score at the Powell Athletic Center.
Campbellsville found themselves down 51-19 at halftime after a rough shooting opening 20 minutes where they only hit eight shots from the field on 40 shot attempts compared to SSU going 20-of-40 in the half.
The Tigers got stuck on scores of four and 17 at different points of the half as the Bears went 13-0 to go from up 8-4 to up 21-4 over a stretch of about five minutes in game. Then with a 16-point lead at 33-17, Shawnee State finished the final 7:25 of the half outscoring CU 18-2.
Shawnee State got production from up and down their lineup with 10 different players recording a made basket from the field as they were led by 17 points from EJ Onu. Miles Thomas (14) and Tre Beard (12) both scored double figures off the bench as the Bears also had a strong rebounding advantage over the Tigers as the game finished at 59-48 in favor of SSU.

Taiveyhon Mason scored a game-high 22 points as he was the only Tiger in double figures in the game as he finished 8-of-17 from the floor with three steals, two rebounds, and two assists.
Though the Mid-South Conference hasn't officially released the tournament bracket as of yet, the Tigers look to be slated to face Pikeville on the road in the opening round of the MSC Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
