Campagnolo earns both MSC and NCCAA weekly honors after shutout at Cumberlands

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – In their first action of the spring, the Campbellsville men's soccer team earned a 1-0 shutout win over University of the Cumberlands as goalkeeper Jeremi Campagnolo earned both the Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week and NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance.

Campagnolo, a freshman from Copenhagen, Denmark, made six saves against the Patriots for his second individual shutout of the season to keep UC off the board over 90 minutes. With his performance last Saturday, Campagnolo improved his season save percentage to .905 and his goals against per game average to .330 as he ranks No. 18 in the NAIA in goals against per game.

It has been a strong start to the season for the freshman goalkeeper as he now earns his fourth MSC honor of the season and his first NCCAA recognition of the 2020 soccer season.

Campbellsville men's soccer will host their first home game of 2021 and second home game of the 2020 season when they host Life University at Finley Stadium for a 6:30 p.m. ET scheduled start time.
