BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Mid-South Conference announced
Lee Miracle as the Coach of the Year,
Emma Walker as the Freshman of the Year, and
McKayla Campbell earned the most valuable wrestler of the tournament.
Lee Miracle earns his third MSC Coach of the Year honor. The first two came in the 2017-18 and 2019-20 school year. In both of those years his team won a national championship at the WCWA level as well winning the Mid-South tournament championship.
"Being named coach of the year is an honor that is a direct reflection of the teams superb work ethic," said Miracle. "The leadership of my assistant coach

Emma Walker was able to secure the Freshman of the Year honors after going undefeated at the tournament over the weekend. Walker has gone undefeated so far this season in both duals and in opens. She has had four different matches through the season in which she secured a pin in under a minute. She has a 5-0 duals record and was able to cruise through the conference championships securing four wins.
"Walker has been fantastic," said Miracle. "She has a great attitude and I am looking forward to seeing her wrestle at the NAIA tournament."
Walker joins the ranks of
McKayla Campbell and
Adriana Lopez earning freshman of the year honors.
McKayla Campbell was able to secure three first period pins to claim the most valuable wrestler of the tournament honors. Campbell was able to win the title at 109 lbs. over Tehani Soares of Indiana Tech on a takedown which led to the early first round pin. "Campbell has always been a hammer. She imposes her will on her opponents" said Miracle on Campbell. "She pinned her way through the tournament in dominant fashion and that made it easy for her to be voted the MVP".
Campbellsville will be back in action at the NAIA National Championship March 11-13 in Jamestown, N.D.
