Musu's hat trick leads Tigers past Life University on Tuesday, 4-2

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Two goals in each half and a hat trick by Sebastiano Musu helped Campbellsville University Men's Soccer upend Life University on Tuesday night, 4-2.

The Tigers (7-1) got down early 1-0 after Jelle De Graaf scored in the 14th minute but that only started a cluster of goals in a span of two minutes and six seconds.

Just over a minute later, Musu was fouled in the box and capitalized on a penalty kick. Then just 58 seconds later, it was the Tigers going up 2-1 after Calvin Heck and Musu were both credited with an assist leading to a Eleder Goicoechea goal.

Life would tie the game just a few minutes before halftime as De Graaf found Zidane Bogle for the fourth total goal overall.

In the first period, it was Life leading in the shots category, 8-6, while each keeper – Jeremi Campagnolo and Luke Zakarija had two saves each.

In the second half, it was Musu scoring his second goal of the game in the 73rd minute as Scott Brooksbank and Magnus Magnusson were credited with assists.

Then it was the nail in the coffin coming in the 85th minute as Musu was fouled in the box once again and finished his second penalty kick of the night.

Musu leads the Tigers with nine goals on the year.

Campagnolo finished the night with five saves overall and the Tigers ended up out shooting the Running Eagles, 21-16.
