All-around scoring performance powers Tigers to 73-64 win over Lindsey Wilson

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – It was a pair of second-time occurrences for the Campbellsville University men's basketball team as they earned their second-straight win in their second win of the season over Lindsey Wilson College.


For most of the first half, the Tigers were firing on all cylinders as eight different players recorded a field goal with six of those players scoring a pair of buckets. CU climbed their lead by as many as 20 at 33-13 with 6:04 remaining in the half but the Blue Raiders were able to pull off a 10-0 run to get it to 33-23 before Campbellsville scored the final four points of the half.
 
The second half was more of the same as Campbellsville pulled their lead to 23 this time at 66-43 but it was a 21-7 finish to the game for the Blue Raiders that helped the game finish at just a nine-point win for the Tigers at 73-64.
 
The second half was carried by 10 points from Jacob King as the senior had his best game of the season finishing with a game-high tying 15 points off the bench on 5-of-6 shooting from the field, 2-for-2 from deep, and 3-of-3 from the free throw line.
 
Brayden Sebastian and Max Reyes both added 11 points as Sebastian scored in double figures for the fourth-straight game. Alston Davis and Lenorris Mincey both had strong secondary scoring games at eight and nine points apiece with both providing strong games on the glass as both added seven rebounds.
 
Jay'von Jackson scored nine points off the bench with both Ross Ryan and Taiveyhon Mason adding five points as Mason had a strong first half facilitating, finishing the half and the game with four assists.
 
Lindsey Wilson also had three players in double figures but not much outside of that as Elijah Jordan (15), Payton Cundiff (12), and Colen Gaynor (11) led the way offensively while combining to shoot 17-for-39 (43.6%) from the field.
 
Campbellsville will move into a stretch of four-straight road games, starting Saturday afternoon when they travel to Lebanon, Ky. to face Cumberland University.
