GEORGETOWN, Ky. – With a rare weekend off, the Campbellsville University women's basketball team earned their 10
th win by 20 or more points Monday night as they took out Georgetown College 87-65 on the road.
CU used a first quarter where they outscored Georgetown 25-4 throughout the entire quarter as the first GC basket didn't come until the 2:30 mark of the quarter as Campbellsville started the game up 19-0. During that stretch, Georgetown turned the ball over nine times and missed five shots as they struggled to handle the CU full court press.
Senior
Savannah Gregory came a point away from tying a career high as she finished with 25 points in the game, including 21 in the first half as she scored nine points in the first quarter and 12 in the second. Gregory was all over the floor defensively recording five total steals in the game and adding a block and a rebound.
Georgetown's offense was able to pick things up in the remaining three quarters, but they were still outscored in the second and fourth quarters for Campbellsville to keep their lead around 20 for the remainder of the game.
With their lead, no Lady Tiger played more than 23 minutes as
Courtney Pritchett and
Sammy Rogers led the way in time on the court as they scored 11 and nine points respectively. Rogers added five rebounds and Pritchett grabbed a pair of rebounds, recorded three steals, and dished out four assists.
Faith Lake and
Bailey Pedigo rounded out the starting lineup for CU as Lake finished with seven points, two rebounds, two assists, and a steal while Pedigo scored two points with six rebounds, five assists, and a steal.
Though they were outscored by the Georgetown bench, Campbellsville's bench scored 33 points as

Sarah Sutton (6),
Madison Sheppard (4),
Ashlee McGeorge (4), and
Maddy Boyle (4) all recorded baskets from the field. McGeorge was strong on the glass for CU as she finished with a team-high eight rebounds in the game.
Campbellsville women's basketball will remain on the road for their next two games as they will head south to take on Martin Methodist on Thursday followed by a trip to Georgia to take on Life on Saturday.
